Hi from Southern California!
I'm Matt, a college senior at Bryant University in Rhode Island, where I’m also a Division I lacrosse player. While lacrosse is a big part of my life, soccer has always been my first love and my biggest passion. I've played my entire life up until college. I moved around a lot growing up, but eventually settled in Orange County, California, which I now consider home.
My passion for the European game began when I attended an Atlético Madrid camp abroad, which sparked a deep appreciation for the culture and atmosphere surrounding football across the continent. The first match I ever watched was the 2011 Copa del Rey Final which was an unforgettable El Clásico. From that moment on, I’ve been a diehard Real Madrid fan and a lifelong admirer of Cristriano Ronaldo.
I’m also an avid traveler and sports enthusiast. I discovered Groundhopper Soccer Guides when I used them to attend a Chelsea vs. Tottenham match during a trip to London, an incredible experience that completely blew me away. Now, I’m thrilled to be on the other side, helping others create memories like that.
As the summer intern here at Groundhopper Soccer Guides, I’m involved in many aspects of the business, and I’m excited to help bring the energy of European football to fans in the U.S., especially with the World Cup coming here next year and interest in the game continuing to grow.
