2020-21 EFL Championship Playoffs

Norwich City and Watford finished first and second to be promoted to the 2021-22 Premier League. The playoffs for the last spot were contested by teams 3-6 in the table:

Brentford won it, beating Swansea City in the Final.

  • May 17: Bournemouth 1-0 Brentford
  • May 17: Barnsley 0-1 Swansea
  • May 22: Brentford 3-1 Bournemouth. Brentford advance, 3-2 on aggregate.
  • May 22: Swansea 1-1 Barnsley. Swansea advance, 2-1 on aggregate.
  • May 29: Championship Final at Wembley Stadium: Brentford 2, Swansea City 0

2020-21 EFL League One Playoffs

Hull City (as champions) and Peterborough United were promoted to the 2021-22 EFL Championship. The playoffs for the last spot were contested by teams 3-6 in the table:

Here are the results of the League One playoffs.

  • May 18: Oxford United 0-3 Blackpool
  • May 19: Lincoln City 2-0 Sunderland
  • May 21: Blackpool 3-3 Oxford United. Blackpool advance to the Final, 6-3 on aggregate.
  • May 22: Sunderland 2-1 Lincoln City. Lincoln City advance, 3-2 on aggregate.
  • May 30: League One Final at Wembley Stadium. Blackpool 2-1 Lincoln City

2020-21 EFL League Two Playoffs

Cheltenham Bolton, and Cambridge went up automatically. The playoffs for the last spot consisted of teams 4-7 in the league table:
