This is what Anfield will look like during international breaks.

We are still waiting for the announcement of the 2019-20 Premier League fixtures, but in the meantime we already know the dates for the international breaks during the season.

Empty grounds all around.

An international break is simply a weekend when (basically) all the domestic leagues take a week off to let players go home and play for their national teams.

For the Premier League, the most-watched league in the world, this just means no games these weekends:

  • September 7
  • October 12
  • November 16
  • March 28

There will be other weekends with no Premier League games, mainly for the FA Cup, starting in January. We still don’t know those dates yet.
