Groundhopper Soccer Guides Tickets & Hospitality
We sell soccer tickets and hospitality packages to the top Premier League clubs and English football competitions, and for the leading European leagues.
Getting tickets to the big Premier League clubs is hard – in fact, often impossible through the usual club channels, since demand is so high. And the market is flooded with illegal resellers. But we work with official, registered partners who have contracts with many English and European clubs to offer both tickets and VIP deals called “hospitality” packages.
Read the answers to some of our most frequently asked questions below.
If you’re ready to buy tickets for a particular event, just select the league or competition from the main menu at left, learn more about the options we offer at each club or venue, and fill out the inquiry form to get your customized quote.
Why are tickets so hard to get?
The Premier League is the most-watched league in the world, and the stadiums are not that big. This creates incredible demand for tickets. And since clubs (rightly in our opinion) prioritize long-time supporters, first-time visitors like us are simply shut out from the normal ticket-buying process.
What is a hospitality package?
A hospitality package is simply a seat at a game plus some kind of benefit. This could be a voucher for a stadium or city bus tour, access to a lounge that’s not available to the general public, or a full-on meal and drinks before, during, or after the game.
What does it cost?
This is a seemingly simple question with no simple answer. That’s because the price depends entirely on which teams are involved and where the game is happening. Two top clubs going at it will be hundreds of dollars, but if even one of them is less known, prices drop quite a bit.
How does the ticket-buying process work?
As mentioned above, prices vary from game to game and package to package, but the way it generally works is this:
Fill out the inquiry form on any of our club/league/competition Tickets & Hospitality pages and tell us which game(s) and package(s) you’re interested in. We’ll research the available options and send you a customized quote. When you’re ready to buy, we send you an invoice, which you can pay online with a credit/debit card.
A couple of days before the game, your tickets will be delivered via email. There are a few exceptions to this, and you will be informed of the options throughout the purchasing process.
How is Groundhopper Soccer Guides authorized to sell tickets?
We are registered sub-agents with four authorized resellers (official club hospitality partners), who have contracts with most of the Premier League clubs, several Championship clubs, Wembley Stadium, and many European clubs as well. Find out more here.
Why should I buy soccer tickets from Groundhopper Guides?
We exist to help you and other groundhoppers have the best soccer experience you can. We want you to not just go to a game, but to have the perspective, history and knowledge to connect with the experience, and with other people having it. Our motto is “Meet the clubs; see them play; eat, drink and sing with the locals.” Here are some of the reasons why you should buy tickets from us.
What is Groundhopper Guides' refund policy -- ie, what if I buy tickets, then can't make the game?
If you buy tickets or hospitality from us and then for any reason cannot make the game, we do our best to resell those tickets, and we send you 100% of what we receive for them, up to the full price you paid.
How should I decide which game to see, where to sit, etc.?
We answer these questions and many more in our Plan FAQ.
When will I receive the tickets and how do they work?
The vast majority of the tickets we sell will be delivered via email within the week before the game. Sometimes it is only a couple of days before the game. We are at the mercy of the clubs and our broker partners as to when the tickets get dispatched. Rest assured that we will send them to you as soon as we receive them, and 99% of the time you will have them at least 24 hours before kickoff.
Tickets come in the several formats and the type you’ll be issued will be indicated in the quotes and purchase confirmation emails. Plus you’ll receive detailed instructions as to how to use your tickets in the dispatch email. Note that we do not have control over what type of tickets are issued by the clubs and, unfortunately, cannot provide you with anything other than what the clubs send us.
The most common ticket types are:
— PDF that you must print
— PDF that you can download on your mobile device
— electronic ticket (NFC Pass) that you must save on your mobile device (Google Pay or Apple Wallet)
— physical ticket that you collect at will call at the stadium or at the hospitality venue on the day of the game
— physical ticket that will be delivered to your hotel
Is there a dress code in the hospitality lounges?
Most hospitality areas have a “smart casual” dress code, which does not apply to children under the age of 12. Jeans and tennis shoes (trainers) are permitted. Tracksuits, shorts, offensive t-shirts, revealing tops, and away club colors are not permitted. Wearing such items may result in refusal of entry.
Note that many of the hospitality packages we sell include a restriction on wearing football jerseys. We always recommend the following: dress conservatively, and if you wear a replica jersey be sure you have a jacket or alternative shirt in case you are asked to remove the jersey while in the hospitality lounge/suite. Never wear anything including a scarf, coat or hat, that could be interpreted as showing support for the away team.
What can I bring to the game?
Most venues have bag restrictions with the average bag size allowed being 20cm x 15cm x 5cm (8″ x 6″ x 2″).
You can usually bring the following items:
— Compact cameras and mobile phones
— Small fold-up umbrellas
— Small bottles of hand gel
— Hygiene products or medicines
— Non-offensive flags or banners 2m x 1m or less. They must not include sticks or poles and must meet fire regulations.
— Clear plastic bottles of water 500ml or less, with the top removed
— Club store purchases
Note that many stadiums do not have bag drop (baggage storage) facilities, so we highly recommend that you carry as little as possible.
