2026-27 Portuguese Primeira Liga Fixtures Release

Based on previous seasons, the 2026-27 Primeira Liga fixtures will be released in late June or early July, 2026.

Remember: Portuguese Fixtures Will Change

When the fixtures are released, we will know the matchups by matchweek, but not the actual days and times of each game. This is affected by numerous factors. These include mainly television, but also European fixtures. Portugal, in fact, gives the least advance notice of any league in Europe — often as little as 10 days!

2026-27 Portuguese Primeira Liga Season Start and End Date

The 2026-27 Portuguese soccer season will start on August 9, 2026.

The season will end in May, 2027.

When are International Breaks in the 2026-27 Season?

There is a slight change to the international breaks for 2026-27. Instead of three one-week breaks in the fall, there will be one two-week break and one one-week break — so no league games on the weekends of September 26, October 3, and November 14. There is also a break the weekend of March 27.
