Reader Report: Two Games at Stamford Bridge

Groundhopper Guides helped Fred and his son see two Chelsea games at Stamford Bridge this spring, and he was nice enough to put together a Reader Report for us.

My son and I attended Chelsea vs. Ipswich on April 13th. This was the first of two Chelsea matches we attended during our trip.

We were mesmerized by the stadium:

(Note: That’s the view from the Canoville Suite seats, which also come with an all-you-can-eat pregame buffet. Check out our Chelsea tickets here.)

The Ipswich fans were small in number but very loud and enthusiastic. Check out this video of them celebrating a goal.

Afterwards, we walked into town through a old graveyard:

In the second match (Chelsea vs. Warsaw), the Warsaw Ultra fans made quite an impression (video).

In this video, the Warsaw fans show off their time at the gym — even if as well their lack of exposure to the sun!

Next, they set off flares, a thoughtful gesture that allowed us to better see their impressive physiques.

Warsaw fans share the light.

Warsaw prevailed, 2 – 1, on the night, but Chelsea advanced in the UEFA Conference League.

Here is a video of the Legia fans saluting their team:
