The 2023-24 Premier League Schedule

The 2023-24 Premier League schedule has been announced.

Fixtures for the 2023-24 Premier League season were announced on June 15, 2023.

The 2023-24 Premier League season will start on Friday August 11, 2023, with Manchester City playing at Burnley. The last day of the season will be May 19, 2024, when all teams will play at the same time.

You can peruse the full schedule at PremierLeague.com and on the BBC website.

Notes on the 2023-24 Premier League Schedule

Winter break: The Premier League’s “winter break” returns, as all clubs will have either the weekend of January 13 or January 20, 2024, off. The way that will work is that all games will be scheduled for January 13, and then with the so-called “October 11” TV fixtures announcement — which usually happens around October 25 — half the games will be moved to the following weekend, thus giving all clubs one week off.

Midweek games: The weeks with midweek Premier League games are December 5-6, December 26-27, January 30-31, and April 2-3, 2024.

FA Cup Weekends: The Premier League will break for FA Cup games the weekends of January 6 and January 27. We think the FA Cup quarterfinals will be the weekend of March 16 and the semifinals the weekend of April 20, but that is unconfirmed.

Festive Fixtures: The “festive season” is a little less festive this season than usual, with only two rounds of games scheduled — currently for December 26 and December 30.

European Nights: Here are the weeks with “European nights,” when Champions League games will be played on Tuesday and Wednesday and Europa League / Conference League games on Thursdays. All of these finals are played after the Premier League schedule is complete.
