How Italian Teams Qualify for Europe

The top four teams in each season’s Serie A qualify for the Champions League. Number 5 and the winner of the Coppa Italia go to the Europa League. And Number 6 goes to the Conference League.

If the winner of the Coppa Italia also finished in the top 6 in the league, their Europa spot goes to the number 6 team, and then the number 7 team goes to Conference League.

Italian Teams in the 2026-27 Champions League

For the 2026-27 competition, Italy are represented in the Champions League by the top four finishers in the 2025-26 Serie A:
