Fulham Riverside Stand Updates
Now over 2 years behind schedule, when will the Fulham Riverside Stand open?
Renovations on Fulham‘s Riverside Stand were announced in May 2019 by Fulham FC Chairman Shahid Khan and work began on the project during summer 2019. The project was originally anticipated to be finished in 2 years, however, work is still being done to the stand, and it is not expected to be fully open and operational until December 2023 or January 2024. Lower portions of the Riverside Stand have been opened for the start of the 2023-24 season, while work continues on sections of the upper level.
Additions to the Fulham Riverside Stand
The two-tiered stand will increase Craven Cottage’s capacity by 3,900 from 25,700 to 29,600. It will feature riverfront restaurants, a health club complete with a rooftop pool, a hotel, and a rooftop terrace. One of the main goals of the project was to create a space that would be used during non-matchdays as well as matchdays to create a hub of activity and increase community involvement.
The project will also create a new riverside walkway and will replace the existing river wall. The club had also originally planned for an event space on the top floors of the stand but scrapped the idea in February 2022, instead replacing it with a Fulham FC members club. The members club will feature a combination of bar, dining, lounge, and workspaces throughout the top 3 floors of the stand.
