The Premier League has confirmed the start and end date for the 2025-26 season. The season will begin on August 16, 2025 and end on May 24, 2026. The league will also continue the tradition of playing all games on the final weekend at the same time.

Actual matchups and fixture dates will be released on June 18, 2025.

When is the Community Shield Game?

The FA Community Shield, which is a preseason friendly between the defending Premier League champions and FA Cup winners, is always played at Wembley Stadium in London the weekend before the Premier League starts.

The 2025 Community Shield will be played either August 9 or 10 between Liverpool and Crystal Palace.
