How Italian Teams Qualify for Europe

The top four teams in each season’s Serie A qualify for the Champions League. Number 5 and the winner of the Coppa Italia go to the Europa League. And Number 6 goes to the Conference League.

If the winner of the Coppa Italia also finished in the top 5 in the league, their Europa spot goes to the number 6 team, and then the number 7 team goes to Conference League.

For the 2025-26 competition, Italy are represented in the Champions League by Napoli, Inter Milan, Atalanta, and Juventus. All 4 made it based on their finishing spot in the top 4 of the league, securing them a spot in the Champions League for the 2025-26 season.
