Updated for 2025-26 Season: When Does TV Change the Premier League Schedule?

The 2025-26 Premier League schedule was announced June 18. But television runs the league — so when does TV change the Premier League dates?

Fortunately, this is both (somewhat) predictable and announced in advance. So here are the dates when TV networks change the 2025-26 Premier League schedule. Note that these dates below are also listed as TBD!

Originally games are all listed as Saturday at 3 p.m., with a few rounds of midweek games. But those Saturday games, especially, will be moved around to other times the same weekend, anywhere from Friday evening to Monday evening.

When TV Changes the Premier League Schedule

TV-related changes will be to another time on the same weekend. Note that some games are also moved to different weeks because a team advances in the FA Cup, League Cup, or European competitions.

Note: In our experience of over eight years tracking this, it’s best to add at least a week to some of these dates, especially the ones in the fall. They are either incompetent or dishonest, but they never make those deadlines. They do better in the springtime.

August/September games

• What they said: July 9.
• When it happened: July 9 and July 23.

October games

• What they said: July 22 and August 20.
• When it happened: August 20 … and September 3.

November games

• What they said: September 17.
• When it happened: September 19.

December/January games

• What they said: October 15.
• When it happened: October 15 (some) … and October 31 (some more) … and November 20!

February games

• What they said: December 17, 2025.
• When it happened: December 17, but with some asterisks.

March games

• What they said: January 21, 2026.
• When it happened: January 21, but again with some asterisks, and then on February 2, February 5, and February 27.

April games

• What they said: March 4, 2026.
• When it happened: March 4, with the usual asterisks related the Europe and the FA Cup. As of March 17, we are still waiting for some of these related the Europe and the FA Cup semifinals on April 25-26.

When Will the May Premier League Games Be Set for TV?

As always, these are the published dates when the league said the schedule will be set. But also as always, there will be exceptions — for the FA Cup Final on May 16 and for European semifinals May 5-7.

Game Week 35 (May 2)

• What they said: Adjustment will happen March 25, 2026.
• When it happened: March 27.

Game Week 36 (May 9)

• What they said: Adjustment will happen April 1, 2026.
• When it happened: April 3.

Game Week 37 (May 17)

• What they said: Adjustment will happen April 8, 2026.
• When it happened: April 28, after the FA Cup semifinals. What a class act is the Premier League.
• There are still two games to be sorted out due to European competitions: United-Forest and Villa-Liverpool.

Game Week 38 (May 24): These games will stay at the same time, Sunday at 4 pm, but the announcement of which games are on television will be made around May 18. Supposedly.
