Updated for 2026-27 Season: When Does TV Change the Premier League Schedule?

The 2026-27 Premier League schedule was announced June 19. But television runs the league — so when does TV change the Premier League dates?

Fortunately, this is both (somewhat) predictable and announced in advance. So here are the dates when TV networks change the 2026-27 Premier League schedule. Note that these dates below are also listed as TBD!

Originally games are all listed as Saturday at 3 p.m., with a few rounds of midweek games. But those Saturday games, especially, will be moved around to other times the same weekend, anywhere from Friday evening to Monday evening.

When TV Changes the Premier League Schedule

TV-related changes will be to another time on the same weekend. Note that some games are also moved to different weeks because a team advances in the FA Cup, League Cup, or European competitions.

Note: In our experience of over eight years tracking this, it’s best to add at least a week to some of these dates, especially the ones in the fall. They are either incompetent or dishonest, but they never make those deadlines. They do better in the springtime.

August/September games

• Matchweek 1: Already done.
• 2026-27 Season: July 13.
• 2025-26 Actual: July 9 and July 23.

October games

• 2026-27 Season: August 24.
• 2025-26 Actual: August 20 … and September 3.

November games

• 2026-27 Season: September 21.
• 2025-26 Actual: September 19.

December/January games — Matchweeks 13-20

• 2026-27 Season: October 19.
• 2025-26 Actual: October 15 (some) … and October 31 (some more)

January games — Matchweeks 21-23

• 2026-27 Season: November 30.
• 2025-26 Actual: November 20.

February games

• 2026-27 Season: December 21
• 2025-26 Actual: December 17, but with some still TBD because of Europe and Cups.

March games

• 2026-27 Season: January 18
• 2025-26 Actual: January 21, but again with some TBD, and then on February 2, February 5, and February 27.

April games

• 2026-27 Season: February 22
• 2025-26 Actual: March 4, with the usual asterisks related the Europe and the FA Cup.

When Will the May Premier League Games Be Set for TV?

As always, these are the published dates when the league said the schedule will be set. But also as always, there will be exceptions — for the FA Cup Final on May 22, 2027 and for European semifinals May 4-6

Game Week 35 (May 9)

• 2026-27 Season: March 29
• 2025-26 Actual: March 27.

Game Week 36 (May 16)

• 2026-27 Season: April 5.
• 2025-26 Actual: April 3.

Game Week 37 (May 23)

• 2026-27 Season: After the FA Cup semifinals, so around April 26.
• 2025-26 Actual: April 28

Game Week 38 (May 30): These games will stay at the same time, Sunday at 4 pm.
