How to Read the Serie A Fixtures

The Serie A fixture list can look a little different from what people are used to. A few things to keep in mind:

The home team is always listed first. Roma–Inter means the game is in Rome. Juventus–Napoli means it’s in Turin.

The days and times are all TBD. When the fixtures drop, you’ll see the matchweek and the round — but not the actual kickoff day or time. Those are set later, mainly driven by television. Each round is typically confirmed around four to eight weeks before it’s played.

Games don’t move to a different weekend. If a match is scheduled for a particular weekend, it will stay on that weekend — it might shift from Saturday to Friday evening or Monday night, but it won’t jump to the following week.

The last few weeks of the season can get complicated. Rescheduled games and European fixture congestion can compress the calendar late in the season, so keep an eye on that if you’re planning a May trip.

2026-27 Serie A Season Start Date

The 2026-27 Serie A season will start on August 23, 2026.

The Serie A season will end on May 30, 2027, a week later than usual.

When are International Breaks in the 2026-27 Season?

During international breaks, when many players play for their native countries, there are no league games in many top leagues around the world — including Serie A.

There is a slight change to the international breaks for 2026-27. Instead of three one-week breaks in the fall, there will be one two-week break and one one-week break — so no league games on the weekends of September 26, October 3, and November 14. There is also a break the weekend of March 27.
