2026-27 English Football League Fixtures Release

The 2026-27 Championship, League One, and League Two fixtures will all be released on Thursday, June 25, 2026, at 12:00 noon BST. All three divisions drop at the same time.

Remember: EFL Fixtures Will Change

On June 25, we will know the EFL fixtures by matchweek, but not the actual days and times of each game. This is affected by numerous factors. These include mainly television, but also FA Cup and League (or Carabao) Cup.

Here are the TV-change dates for the 2026-27 EFL season.

2026-27 EFL Season Start and End Date

The 2026-27 EFL season will start the weekend of August 14–16, 2026.

Note: The Carabao Cup Round 1 kicks off a week earlier, on August 7–9, 2026, before the league season begins.

The regular EFL season will end on May 8, 2027, followed by the promotion playoffs. The three Wembley playoff finals will be held May 29–31, 2027.

When are International Breaks in the 2026-27 Season?

An international break is when the top leagues pause so players can play for their national teams. This affects the Championship in England, but very few games in League One or League Two.

There is a slight change to the international breaks for 2026-27. Instead of three one-week breaks in the fall, there will be one two-week break and one one-week break — so no league games on the weekends of September 26, October 3, and November 14. There is also a break the weekend of March 27.

What is Wrexham’s Schedule?

Wrexham will be in the Championship for the 2026-27 season, so their 26-27 fixtures will be released on June 25, and their season runs from August 14, 2026 to May 8, 2027. They will also compete in the FA Cup and the EFL Cup.
